Cup Noodle Celebrates Final Fantasy – These “Ultimate Weapon Forks” are No Joke
Nissin, the company behind one of the world’s most popular instant ramen brands, Cup Noodle, partnered with Square Enix to celebrate Final Fantasy’s 30th anniversary. As seen below, the company has created special oversized packaging for the promotion which features 15 bosses from across the main Final Fantasy saga. Oh yeah, they also created something called the “Ultimate Weapon Fork“.
Nissin is no stranger when it comes to collaborating with the Final Fantasy team with this latest promotion falling on the heels of their hilarious parody trailer, not to mention the Cup Noodle brand appearing via in game marketing for Final Fantasy XV. The special promotion doesn’t end with the limited packaging though; Nissin took it up a notch this time by also creating a gigantic Final Fantasy inspired fork they call the “Ultimate Weapon Fork”. This limited edition super fork showcased below comes in right under 24 inches at 60 centimeters in length and boasts a pretty impressive heft. There were only 30 made and the only way to get your hands on one is by entering a lottery.
Only those fans and ramen enthusiasts who purchase Nissin’s Final Fantasy Boss Collection noodle set, which costs 6,048 yen or around $50 US and releases on February 15th, will be eligible to win. The box set went on pre-order in Japan as of today February 1st at 10:00am JST. Sure would look nice in my office! *palms begin to sweat as nerdiness intensifies.*
