Final Fantasy 15’s Aranea Highwind is Getting Her Own Play Arts Kai Figure

Aranea Highwind

Publisher Square Enix has announced via the company’s Japanese Twitter page that another Final Fantasy 15 Play Arts Kai figure is in development, this time for the game’s Dragoon Aranea Highwind. The Dragoon joins the rest of the main cast of Final Fantasy 15 that have received Play Arts Kai figures including Noctis, Prompto, Ignis, Gladiolus, Lunafreya, Cindy, and Nyx from Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV.

Seen below, the Aranea Highwind figure strikes an impressive pose at roughly 10 inches tall, in keeping with the heights of the other figures in the Final Fantasy 15 Play Arts Kai line. She comes equipped with interchangeable hands, a helmet, her Dragoon spear, a Dragon’s Tail, and a stand. Pre-orders for the figure begin on June 19, 2017, though pricing for the figure is still to be determined. That said, if the Aranea figure has a similar price point to the rest of the figures in the line, the cost should be around $130.

Aranea Highwind

It is exciting to see Square Enix giving Aranea Highwind some love. The Dragoon was one of the more interesting characters in the game and her boss fight was one of the more memorable ones, even factoring in the epic Astral boss fights that peppered the main story. The figure itself is beautifully detailed; collectors and Final Fantasy XV fans will no doubt be scrambling to purchase the figure once pre-orders open up later this month. The rest of the Aranea figure images can be seen below, which includes a picture of both her stand and her detachable accessories.
