Fallout 76: Bethesda Now Offering Missing Canvas Bags For Power Armor Edition Orders

Fallout 76

Last month, Bethesda received some pretty bad PR reputation from fans. Those who pre-ordered the Power Armor Edition of Fallout 76 weren’t fond of details in the packaging for this special edition purchase. When consumers received a nylon bag that protected their helmet instead of a canvas one as shown in picture prior to release. Many were outraged by the false advertisement and even more so since they weren’t “planning on doing anything about it.”  Following this incident, Bethesda presented a public apology that promised 500 Atoms for those who didn’t receive what they’d anticipated.

Instead of stopping there, however, Bethesda has decidedly chosen to go one better for those who felt conned by the entire ordeal. On Twitter, the official Bethesda Support page announced that they’ll be sending out replacement canvas bags for Fallout 76: Power Armor Edition purchases. From now until January 31st, all proof of purchases are eligible for a missing canvas bag to be sent to their humble abode. See below:

What exactly constitutes a proof of purchase? It’s any evidence like a receipt, invoice, or screenshot proving the transaction matches your credentials. As long as it has the following, the process in acquiring a canvas bag should be relatively smooth – “product name, date of purchase, purchase amount, and in the case of a digital purchase then the identity of the purchaser.” According to Bethesda’s support page, the latter states:

For games, game time cards, and other items purchased at a retail store, we need a picture of the receipt and a picture of the item purchased. In the case of game time cards, we need images of the front and back of the card. Proof of purchase from the Xbox Live. PlayStation, or Steam stores must include the player’s Gamertag, PSN ID, Steam ID or e-mail address. Details on how to find this information are below.”
