Free Devil May Cry 5 Update Gives Nero Banana Hands

Devil May Cry 5 Monkey Business

It’s always been known that the Devil May Cry franchise doesn’t exactly take itself seriously. With a bounty of over the top action, the most of which is performed with some of the most ridiculous weapons one can come up with, fans have always been drawn to the series to take on some demons in epic fashion. That said, Devil May Cry 5 has received a new update that gives Nero banana hands, and were we expecting anything less?

In the free update, which is aptly titled Monkey Business, Nero receives a new Devil Breaker that is essentially a bunch of bananas. “Created by Nico on a whim from leftover Helter Skelter parts,” according to the description. “The big, bendy, revolving bananas are amusing, but not particularly useful in battle. It can’t be found inside the motorhome, but will appear occasionally on stages.”

We’ve seen everything from motorcycles to Mega Man’s Mega Buster used as weapons in Devil May Cry 5, but bananas might just be the best use of ridiculousness yet. The Monkey Business DLC is currently available for free, so get out there and start attempting to defeat your foes with bananas. For more on the latest installment in the long-running series:

“Prepare to get downright demonic with this signature blend of high-octane stylized action and otherworldly & original characters the series is known for. Director Hideaki Itsuno and the core team have returned to create the most insane, technically advanced and utterly unmissable action experience of this generation!

“The threat of demonic power has returned to menace the world once again in Devil May Cry 5. The invasion begins when the seeds of a “demon tree” take root in Red Grave City. As this hellish incursion starts to take over the city, a young demon hunter Nero, arrives with his partner Nico in their “Devil May Cry” motorhome. Finding himself without the use of his right arm, Nero enlists Nico, a self-professed weapons artist, to design a variety of unique mechanical Devil Breaker arms to give him extra powers to take on evil demons such as the blood sucking flying Empusa and giant colossus enemy Goliath.”

Devil May Cry 5 is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
