Fans of Dead by Daylight have been getting teasers for a new title from Behaviour Interactive. Information has been sparse, with an official website only launching yesterday. Now, the developer has released a Deathgarden announcement trailer giving players a taste of what to expect.

The Deathgarden announcement trailer now plays in the background of the official site, where players can submit to be a part of the closed alpha test. While the video is less than a minute long, it does enough to get viewers interested. Included are a few similarities and major differences to Dead by Daylight that can be seen in the video below:

As seen in the Deathgarden announcement trailer above, players will get the chance to play as a Hunter, or a Runner. Details revealed on the site note that the Runners must escape from the play area, while Hunters are tasked with removing them from play entirely. Here is the description of the game directly from the website:

Set in the near future, Deathgarden revolves around a spectacular real blood sport that is the most popular entertainment on the planet, where powerful Hunters prey on agile Runners.”

The blood sport style of the Deathgarden announcement trailer definitely makes it stand out from Dead by Daylight, as does the introduction of weapons for runners. Dead by Daylight doesn’t offer players weapons, however, players will have the choice to play on either side in Deathgarden as was an option in the previous title. This title is currently only in development for PC, but it being in the Alpha stage means anything could change at this point.
