Darksiders III Release Date And Other Details Leaked

According to a premature online retail listing, several details on Gunfire Games’ and THQ Nordic’s sequel to the Darksiders franchise was leaked. Though it was disclosed since day one that the developers planned with a release date by December 2018 for Darksiders III, there wasn’t confirmation as to when exactly. To the misfortune of the developers, Microsoft accidentally posted the game’s release details a wee bit early, including its debut this November.

Thanks to True Achievements for immortalizing the information online, Darksiders III will arrive on November 26th, 2018 alongside three different editions to choose from – Standard, Deluxe, and Blades & Whip. The latter is essentially the platinum goody bag of the upcoming Gunfire Games title, which includes two paid DLC, Darksiders Warmastered Edition and Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition. Pre-orders are rewarded with 24-hour early access and a 10% discount on the purchase. Here are all three versions for comparison purposes:

Blades & Whip Edition

  • Darksiders Warmastered Edition
  • Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition
  • Darksiders III
  • 2 paid DLC
  • Pre-Order Bonus Includes:
    • Armor skin
    • 24-hour early access
    • 10% discount
    • Darksiders 1 and 2 playable on November 26th

Deluxe Edition

  • Darksiders III
  • Pre-Order Bonus Includes:
    • Armor skin
    • 24-hour early access
    • 10% discount

Standard Edition

  • Darksiders III
  • Pre-Order Bonus Includes:
    • Armor skin

For the ultimate Darksiders fan, the Blades & Whip edition is the way to go. At this time, the price range for each of these versions allude public eyes. Given all the features and bonus content that comes with it, the aforementioned may leave a noticeable dent in the wallet. As with most standard versions, the game will likely retail around $60 (USD), though prices per region will vary.

Since Gunfire Games just barely showed the community Alpha gameplay footage last year, it’s hard to believe they already plan to have it out in 2018. Either way, it’s heading to Xbox One this holiday season. Buckle up for another sinful hack and slash adventure! What kind of nods do you hope to see in this sequel?
