With just a few weeks to go before CD Projekt RED officially releases the year’s most highly anticipated game, fans are gearing up to get a chance to drop into Night City. That said, the latest episode of Night City Wire is finally here and the devs had quite a few things to discuss about Cyberpunk 2077, most notably the legend that is Keanu Reeves. Well, Johnny Silverhand.

During the fifth episode of Night City Wire, the devs kicked off the show with a new gameplay trailer that focuses on Johnny Silverhand, who is played by none other than Keanu Reeves. We learned that the popular actor was part of Cyberpunk 2077 during last year’s E3, and as time went on, we learned that he was going to be playing quite a large role in the game. The trailer itself gives a hint as to what type of role Reeves is playing, including the fact that he is essentially a co-protagonist along with V. Basically, Johnny Silverhand is in V’s brain. In a video that followed the new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer, Keanu Reeves discussed the role of Johnny Silverhand and what it took to step into the rocker’s shoes. Reeves stated that, despite having done some voiceover work in the past, it is unlike anything he has ever done before. He also noted how it was great to be able to essentially play one character who is playing three characters due to all of the dialogue options and reactions that come along with them. There is no denying that the experience is going to be something else when it arrives in just a few weeks. No, really, it’s actually coming out next month. Cyberpunk 2077 is set to officially arrive on December 10th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
