Cyberpunk 2077 Players Can Finish The Game Without Completing The Main Story

Cyberpunk 2077 Big City Dreams

It is safe to say at this point that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be quite the experience when it arrives later year. CD Projekt RED has proven themselves worthy of making an incredible RPG, and that is certainly looking to be true with the upcoming game. That said, options are always good when it comes to RPGs, but it would appear that the world of Cyberpunk is going to be filled with some interesting ones, including offering players the ability to complete the game without finishing the main story.

During a recent interview, lead quest designer Pawel Sasko spoke about Cyberpunk 2077 at length, including how players will experience different conclusions based on their previous choices. “In Cyberpunk’s structure we have this ear which is the center, the main plot of history and around it there are those secondary threads that can trigger in different ways,” Sasko said via Google Translate.

Side threads cause something that we haven’t done before, namely they modify the main thread – and in such a way that you may not complete the main thread at all, but you can end the game and receive completely different epilogues than another player who chose a different lifepath and he made other choices, met other characters and built other relationships with them.”

Needless to say, when it comes to options, Cyberpunk 2077 players are going to have plenty of them. If choices such as lifepath, which characters we interact with, etc., one can only imagine how many different outcomes there are, especially if players don’t even need to complete the main story to finish the game. Now I can’t wait for speedrunners to get their hands on the title.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently in development and expected to launch on November 19th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
