Cyanide & Happiness Adventure Game Fully Funded Two Weeks Before Goal (VIDEO)
Cyanide & Happiness constantly pushes the boundaries of inappropriate and controversial situations with their comic strips and animated shorts. The same team is developing a point and click adventure game and has turned to crowd-funding to help get the title out. A little more than two weeks before their goal cutoff date, Cyanide & Happiness Adventure Game has been fully funded.
The original goal on their Kickstarter page of $300,000 has been met, meaning that the stretch goals are now the new target. Stretch goals will include in-game achievements, longer story, and even a console release. At the time of this article, Cyanide & Happiness Adventure Game has over $395,000 pledged, with two stretch goals already acquired and nearing a third. A trailer can be seen below:
The game’s synopsis reads:
The game will be a new approach to point-and-click adventures filled dark comedy, drama, weirdness, and an apocalypse in the suburbs. This is the first time we’re making something set in the unified C&H Universe, so we’re completely excited to be making this for you!
Our hero on the left is Coop, whose only goals are to make it through school without becoming “the weird” kid and to avoid the apocalypse.
He will fail at both.
He’ll be joined by Sawyer, an aspiring investigative journalist with a know-it-all streak and Chowder, a man who wants only to be left alone to write comments on YouTube. He’s that kind of person.
If anyone is interested in pledging for the stretch goals for Cyanide & Happiness Adventure Game, the crowd-funding campaign ends on October 5th at 10:00 AM PDT. $25 pledges or more will get you a copy of the game when it releases, which is estimated for December 2018. Other rewards include in-game Easter eggs about you, an NPC (non-playable character) based on you, and becoming an Executive Producer.
