Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Reveals New Remastered Gameplay (VIDEO)
Following the successful release of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, everyone’s favorite super-spinning marsupial is set to return for another remastered adventure in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. Fans were surprised to get their first peek at the modern-gen release at this past Game Awards, as it not only revealed the game’s existence, but also some brief snippets of rejuvenated gameplay.
Here we are a handful of weeks later and developer Beenox has revealed the first piece of gameplay, providing a look at how the classic cartoony kart racer will look when players are eventually given the green light. The footage, while somewhat short, provides a sweet showcase of the game’s revamped racing, depicting various Crash Bandicoot characters, a number of recreated tracks, and a nice bit of competitive weaponry. Check it all out in the video below.
As with the N-Sane Trilogy before it, everything about the original Crash Team Racing is set to return in Nitro-Fueled, save for a handful of modern overhauls. While featuring a crisp visual upgrade and carrying over staple modes such as Adventure and 4-player split-screen, the remaster will also introduce new elements such as online multiplayer and a playable version of the game’s turbocharged villain Nitros Oxide.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is set to release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 21st.
