Canceled StarCraft: Ghost Gameplay Footage Revealed (VIDEO)

Nearly two decades ago, a StarCraft game called StarCraft: Ghost was in development with a slated release window of 2002 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. Unfortunately, the title never made it past the development stages, and now, here in good ol’ 2020, some footage from the game’s playable build as seemingly been leaked, and it looks….kind of good?

As reported by the folks over at PrimaGames, an early build of StarCraft: Ghost has been leaked to the public, with what appears to be the ‘whole’ game now out there for thrifty folks to find. The footage itself in the below clip totals out to around seven minutes of decidedly dated graphics and gameplay (this was supposed to release about 18 years ago, after all) though it does provide a good glimpse into what could have been. Check it out below:

According to the folks over at Kotaku, Twitter user DaysAfterRodeo reached out with a link to a downloadable build for StarCraft: Ghost. Said build apparently came from a dev kit, and given that the internet is in fact a thing that exists, chances are people will be playing StarCraft: Ghost in earnest sooner rather than later. In the meantime, fans of the franchise are still waiting to hear any news about a possible StarCraft 3.
