Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Zombie Onslaught PS Exclusive For One Year (VIDEO)

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Zombie Onslaught

Call of Duty fans are gearing up for the next installment in the franchise, which is set to arrive in just a few weeks. While the excitement may be rising for some, it’s possible that some folks won’t be happy about the latest reveal, Zombie Onslaught being exclusive to PlayStation for an entire year.

Activision recently took to the PlayStation Blog to announce that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Zombie Onslaught will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 and 5 for 12 months. The mode features a 2-player co-op experience where the strike team will encounter an intriguing orb that is emitting rather dangerous levels of “unnatural energy.” The goal: stay alive.

The maps featured in Zombie Onslaught will be a blend of Multiplayer maps that can be found in the game. Players will have access to their custom loadouts from other modes in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. “Once you drop in, the onslaught begins; the Dark Aether Orb will confine your duo to a specific space on the map, where the undead will begin spawning in,” reads the overview. “Killing these zombies will power the Orb. Kill enough Zombies and the Orb will move. While you’re inside the Orb, you won’t take Dark Aether damage from outside the specific map zone the Orb protects, helping keep players alive as they fight increasingly difficult undead enemies, with each “surge” bringing more resilient, faster and deadlier zombies.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to arrive on November 13th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with Zombie Onslaught being exclusive to PlayStation consoles until November 1, 2021.
