WATCH: Call Of Duty WWII The Resistance Event To Begin Soon – New Division, Weapons, And More

Call of Duty: WWII is about ready to commence The Resistance event, a community event that will bring a brand new division, weapons, drops, double experience, and much more. It’s a huge update that will bring all that free in-game content for players to enjoy. What’s this? Is that the return of prop hunt? Check out the teaser trailer below to witness the glory of all the goodies incoming:

In addition to the free in-game content for all, Call of Duty: WWII‘s The Resistance event hosts a playlist of games modes to reap the benefits of 2 times the experience gain, and the return of two popular ones. Captain Butcher makes a return “from the front lines”, and he can be visited at Headquarters for supply drops, to complete Resistance Collections, and sign contracts. Call of Duty: WWII The Resistance Event

New Division

All players will have free access to the new Resistance Division starting January 23rd. Civilians rose and resisted the German war machine, and fought to take their freedom back. The new Resistance Division embodies the skills and experience of citizen soldiers from across Europe, and features the new Tactical Knife Skill, a new 9mm SAP Pistol, as well as new skills that can alter the tide of battle, such as the ability to scramble enemy maps

Game Modes Returning

  • Demolition –
    • resistance fighters have the power to disrupt the course of battle with a strategically placed bomb behind enemy lines. In the return of this classic Call of Duty® game mode, it’s your job to do just that – spearhead an assault, plant a bomb, and defend it until the end. Demolition is another great bomb objective mode, like Search & Destroy, but with the dynamic combat of player respawns that result in nonstop action.
  • Prop Hunt –
    • as an underground Resistance fighter, you must master the skill of stealth. In a fun spin, just for this event, you can put your skills to the test in the Prop Hunt game mode, where players on one team must disguise themselves as everyday items strewn throughout the war zone, while the other team is tasked with tracking them down and destroying them. As a fun party mode, we hope you’ll enjoy taking a break from the core modes and try Prop Hunt during this limited-time event playlist.

  • Orso (“Liberator” collection reward)
  • Volssturmgewehr (“Resistor” collection reward)
  • Combat knife (“Salvation” collection reward)
