Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection is Free + Free Multiplayer All-Access Event

Microsoft has invited all Xbox Live members without a Gold membership across both last gen (Xbox 360) and current gen (Xbox One) consoles to play online with fellow gamers for free during their Multiplayer All-Access event running from Oct. 27th to Oct. 30th. The fun doesn’t end there because they’ve also decided to throw in Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for free as well but only for the duration of the event. Check the video out below.

The company had this to say about the event:

“This is a great opportunity for players across both consoles to experience one of the most-popular benefits of Xbox Live Gold membership; when it comes to multiplayer gaming, network reliability is everything. Log in now to play on a network that delivers as well as you do.”

Borderlands

“Experience the highest performance and highest fidelity graphics for any Borderlands game ever on console, and invite your friends over to enjoy the game’s four-player split-screen mode, all in stunning high definition.”

While this event isn’t Halloween themed it does seem to compliment quite a few of online multiplayer games that are holding seasoning events or updates like Grand Theft Auto V and Overwatch. Free is never a bad thing, especially when it comes to gaming.

This promotion makes me think of those days when premium cable TV channels like HBO and Showtime would have those “Free-View” weekends, I think they use to call them. I wonder if they still do that. In any case, even if you are a Gold subscription holder you’d still benefit by participating in the event by getting to play the entire Borderlands collection for free.

Will you be taking advantage of this event and if so what games do you plan on playing? Sound off and let us know in the comments below and as always keep a tab opened on Don’t Feed The Gamers for all the gaming news you need to know.
