Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Nintendo Switch Issues Addressed By Devs

Bloodstained Nintendo Switch

Despite its technical limitations, developers have been eager to bring their games over to the Nintendo Switch. The hybrid home/portable console has invited publishers to bring classic pre-existing games to it,  such as The Witcher 3, as well as the newest games made for current generation of hardware. However, with the Switch’s versatility comes additional development obstacles, which sometimes require extra development time. Apparently, the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Nintendo Switch version needed more time to iron out such bugs, as many have been reported by its player base.

ArtPlay recently commented on the Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night errors on their official Bloodtstained Twitter account. It seems the developer has heard the many reports of issues sent by fans, and is committed to fixing as many as possible. According to ArtPlay, their QA team believed that they had fixed a significant amount of issues with the Update 1.01 that was readied before the game’s launch, but it seems that more problems were present than they originally had expected.

The ArtPlay team is now shifting more resources to the Nintendo Switch dev team to fix these issues, which include framerate inconsistencies, freezing, and other reported flaws. To help some players as quickly as possible, ArtPlay plans to release several smaller updates on the Switch, as opposed to making all players wait for a large update once all of the issues are remedied. While it is not an ideal situation for those preferring to have the game on Switch, it is good to see ArtPlay commenting on these issues so openly and being forthcoming about their plans to correct them.
