Banjo-Kazooie Officially Joining Super Smash Bros Ultimate Roster (VIDEO)

Banjo-Kazooie

As tradition has gone the past few years at E3, Nintendo has been the company to close out the big presentations before the E3 showfloor officially opens. Ever since it was announced that DLC fighters would be coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, many have been wondering which, if any, might be announced during the E3 Direct. Well, Nintendo did not disappoint those looking for an in-demand requested fighter, as they confirmed Banjo-Kazooie would be coming to Ultimate.

The Banjo-Kazooie Super Smash Bros. Ultimate trailer was released as a part of today’s new Nintendo Direct. The video opens with Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and King K. Rool all putting aside their differences for a slumber party, when a sudden approaching force disturbs their snooze. The trio wake to see a silhouette which looks suspiciously like a bear and bird duo, but ends up being the incessantly laughing Duck Hunt Dog, with a Duck.

Thankfully, the real Banjo and Kazooie crash land on the imposter, leading to footage of the duo’s fighting in action. Most of their moves seem to be close-range focused, including Banjo using Kazooie as a melee weapon, but Kazooie appears to be able to shoot projectiles. Their final Smash is also shown, which summons Jinjo assistants to help take down enemies quickly. Banjo-Kazooie is easily one of the most desired fighters for Smash Bros., and they will certainly be welcomed well into the fold. Hopefully, their appearance once more on a Nintendo console isn’t a Rare occurrence.
