Atlus Releases New Survey Asking For Feedback On The Fate Of Persona, Other Major Series

Atlus Survey

Last year, Persona 5 appeared to be a major financial and critical success for the Persona series, bringing the franchise into an even greater level of awareness in the gaming community. The RPG appeared on many Best Games of 2017 lists, and was well received enough to already have an anime series in the works. As such, many are now wondering what is next for the series, and it looks like Atlus wants to hear what fans hope for in the next Persona game. A new Atlus survey asks these questions, including which platforms fans would like to see Persona 6 come to.

Atlus has posted the survey, mainly focused on their Persona series but also their other famous franchises, on their official Japanese website. The survey asks what form fans would like to see the Persona series in next. The options include a new Persona board game, fighting game, RPG (in either action, strategy or online style), shooter or simply Persona 6. It somewhat makes sense that Atlus would consider a different genre of Persona game, given the multi-faceted form that the future games take. What is also interesting is that, no matter the participant’s choice, the survey also asks what console they would like this new game on. The options include PS4, PS Vita, PS VR, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, iOS devices, Android devices, and more.

The survey also brings up these same potential platform choices in regards to hypothetical remakes of classic Atlus games in their popular series, like Shin Megami Tensei and Etrian Odyssey, and where future main entries in these series should go. Fans are also asked if they would prefer a new IP, a spinoff game or non-gaming content altogether in favor of these previously mentioned potential future games. This recent collection of data seems to represent any possible combination of fan desire, and given the various platforms that Persona games have been on in the past, it makes sense to keep growth of the franchise going by diversifying its list of platforms. What do you guys think about this Atlus survey? Let us know in the comments below!
