Apex Legends has been blowing up not only the battle royale scene, but the gaming world as a whole. After its surprise release two weeks ago, the free-to-play battle royale experience has been crushing records and players are having a great time. That said, a recent leak may point to what is ahead for the Respawn Entertainment title.

Thanks to a recent datamining operation carried out by some devoted fans, it looks like we might know the names of the next characters that will be coming to Apex Legends. As seen in the tweet below, hidden in the files of the game, there seems to be a character named Wattson as well as one named Octane.

According to the datamine, Wattson will be sporting a Tesla Trap, which is sure to bring an electrifying component to the fight. Octane, on the other hand, seems to be equipped with a Stimpack, which will likely increase their speed and grant all sorts of additional bonuses. As noted in the tweet, all of the game’s Legends have a wallrun entry, so that is nothing significant at this time.

Of course, as it is with all leaks, we recommend keeping the salt on hand. While it is very possible that Octane and Wattson are poised to join the fight in the near future, we will just have to wait until the developers officially reveal anything.
