Animal Crossing: New Horizons Toilets Let Villagers Poop (VIDEO)

New Horizons Toilets

While the world faces a global pandemic unlike any seen in recent history, gamers have been able to find a comforting escape with the arrival of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Major reviews for the game mostly seem to consider the game an extremely well-polished addition to the franchise and players have been quite enamored as well. The title has introduced many new features to the game to make the experience closer to that of a real-life simulation, but one detail went the extra mile. Many have noticed that Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ toilets actually allow players to poop for the first time in the franchise’s history.

As reported on Prima Games, Animal Crossing players have been sharing photos and footage that confirm the surprising functionality of the New Horizons toilets. What players have noticed is that when their Villager sits on a toilet, be it inside or outside of their own home, they find that their meter of fruits eaten reduces back to zero. While the game obviously shows no visible bodily functions, the combination of a toilet and ingested food waste would certainly imply the deuce.

This would not be the first time that Nintendo has included toilet humor, as it has been subtly included in games like Super Paper Mario and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Still, for a relatively tame game like Animal Crossing, having New Horizons toilets provide an actual tangible impact on gameplay is definitely not a feature people expected the newest iteration of the franchise to make. But I guess sometimes to make a log cabin, you are going to have to drop a few logs.
