Afterparty For PS4 Sends You To Hell To Drink With The Devil (VIDEO)
Sony’s recent PlayStation State of Play presentation showcased a lot of cool stuff, including the release announcement of a hellacious looking indie game. Brought to you by the creators of Oxenfree, Night School Studio has released a new trailer for Afterparty, the new game that features two best friends on a quest to out-drink the devil and his demons in order to exploit a loophole to get out of hell.
The game was announced almost two years ago, though it wasn’t confirmed for the PlayStation 4 until the State of Play stream. On top of the announcement of the PS4 port, Afterparty’s release date was revealed to be October 29th, just in time for Halloween! Check out the launch trailer below:
The game features pals Milo and Lola trekking through the depths of hell seeking a loophole in order to get out of hell. They will be able to return to the land of the living if they can out-drink all the demons in hell, including Satan himself. Veteran VO Artist Khoi Dao provides the voice of Milo, while Lola is voiced by Janina Gavankar, AKA Star Wars Battlefront II’s Iden Versio. The gameplay seems to be mostly geared toward 2D exploration, but there is a ton of variety showcased from rhythm games to beer pong, and even customizing loadouts.
Afterparty features over 30 different drinks each with their own unique abilities to alter the characters’ personalities. Some will make you more aggressive, while others may make you more friendly. You’ll make friends, ditch folks, and make other choices as you try to resurrect faster than a bat out of hell.
