Google Gaming Console Controller Revealed Ahead of GDC and the Reactions Are Hilarious
Google has been teasing their upcoming gaming console for a little bit now, though we haven’t had any details about what it will have to offer or even what it will look like … at least until now. Unfortunately, the Google controller shared ahead of GDC 2019 is not exactly getting the reactions the mega company was hoping for.

Since the Nintendo Switch, the PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One all have very different appearances, it makes since that Google would want to go above and beyond when it came to their design to keep it apart from its competitors and avoid being accused of “stealing” a familiar design. Unfortunately they seemed to have forgotten that gamers will be actually using the consoles, and instead of nailing a high-tech vibe — it just looks painful. We’re not the only ones that thought that either:

Since Google hasn’t actually shared these images yet, instead it was a leak, it’s possible that this isn’t the final design or maybe even an older concept. We’re hoping that’s the case, because though we can understand where they were coming from, this just looks awful and painful.
