Celebrate the Holidays with Elder Scrolls Online’s New Life Festival
With the holidays upon us this is the time when gamers look forward to all the festive-themed content being released for their favorite games. To celebrate this holiday season, Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) has prepared a wonderful wintery New Life Festival for us to enjoy.
We’re wrapping up an exciting year in Tamriel by celebrating the New Life Festival! This event is filled with quests that take you across different zones, and you have a chance to obtain fun and festive rewards.
The New Life Festival will set you on a quest to commemorate the winter festivities of Tamriel and is scheduled to start on December 15th at 10 am EST. To begin the New Life Festival quest line players will need to track down Breda outside of Windhelm. Breda will then give you your first quest simply named after the festival itself. Once you have successfully completed each task given by Breda you will then have the option to complete up to nine different daily quests each with a focus on the varying races of Tamriel. Each quest will be located in a location specific to it’s respective race. The New Life Festival quests have been listed as follows:
- Castle Charm Challenge (Breton)
- Fish Boon Feast (Argonian)
- Lava Foot Stomp (Dunmer)
- Mud Ball Merriment (Bosmer)
- Signal Fire Sprint (Redguard)
- Snow Bear Plunge (Nord)
- Stonetooth Bash (Orc)
- The Trial of Five-Clawed Guile (Khajiit)
- War Orphan’s Sojourn (Altmer)
Upon completion of each daily quest, players will receive a New Life Gift Box which contains various assortments of random New Life Festival-themed goodies such as crafting materials, mementos, motifs, recipes, and collectibles.
If you’re able to complete all the quests that Breda has for you, you’ll receive a special new dye – New Life Cerulean – and the “New Life Celebrant” achievement. Completing all the New Life-related achievements will grant the “Magnanimous” title as well! In addition, drinking Breda’s Magnificent Mead (located in a keg near Breda) will net you double XP for two hours. Be sure and complete each quest before the New Life Festival concludes on Wednesday, January 4 at 10am EST.
Along with the launch of the New Life Festival celebration the ESO Crown Store has added a few purchasable goodies as well to help you really get your characters into the holiday spirit of Tamriel. So head on over to Windhelm and start your holiday festivities off right, Tamriel style. We here at DFTG will be sure to get into the holiday spirit of Tamriel so we’d love to hear about your New Life Festival excitement and experiences as well! Also check out the new Homestead Update that ESO just released. Until next time, may The Nine watch over you, and happy holidays!
