Celeste Collector’s Edition Revealed, Very Limited Quantities
With 2018 nearly over, most conversations about the best games of the year have mostly been held and decided by now. Easily the biggest example of these talks was held with The Game Awards 2018, where many of year’s most popular titles dominated the awards such as God of War and Red Dead Redemption 2. One surprise nomination for Game of the Year went to a little indie darling, Celeste, which had many people talking when it released at the beginning of 2018. To celebrate the game’s success, a limited number of Celeste Collector’s Editions are being released for sale.

Limited Run Games recently announced the new Celeste Collector’s Edition on their official Twitter account. The company has published limited quantities of physical copies of favorite indie titles in the past, and this looks to continue the tradition. For those unaware, Celeste is a game about a girl named Madeline seeking to reach the summit of Celeste Mountain, while dealing with struggles with depression and anxiety and the mountain’s quirky inhabitants. The game uses challenging Super Meat Boy-style platforming to express its core emotional themes.
The Celeste Collector’s Edition comes with a copy of the game, a steel book case, a plush strawberry, a cassette tape of the game’s soundtrack, poster, patch and recipe for strawberry pie. These are all quite wonderful goodies that fans of the game would love, and the game’s outstanding critical reception should speak well for its merit. If you missed out on this game before, this would be the perfect time to start the adventurous climb.
