Take a Look at Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ Open-World Map – Largest Ubisoft World to Date
Ghost Recon: Wildlands beta registration is live NOW and fans of the Ubisoft series are stoked to see just how big this newest title actually is with all of the hype surrounding the open-world nature. Wildlands boasts a massive experience as it is named one of the biggest open world maps ever created by the developer. Thanks to a recent report, we now have a decent idea of what to expect.
The Wildlands map is sectioned off into 21 differing regions and each explorable area houses unique properties to keep the immersive environments refreshing and exciting for players. Of those 21 regions, 11 contain biomes to facilitate separate climates, animals, and wildlife. Technical Art Director Benoit Martinez sat down with Polygon and had this to say:
We have a full agenda for the NPCs, so they really live in the world. They go to bed at night. They get up. They go to work. Whether or not you interact with them or nor, they live their own life.”
Ghost Recon: Wildlands promises a very expansive adventure set in Bolivia. The mission? Going after a drug cartel either solo or with up to 3 other plays for a more cooperative experience. Setting the player behind enemy lines, Wildlands promises adventure with the largest map in Ubisoft history as well as a player freedom that gamers can enjoy,
Players will have a total freedom of choice to accomplish their missions how they want and watch as the world reacts to their actions.”
