Death Stranding: Metal Gear Solid Actor Joins Cast
There’s still no word yet on the release date for Hideo Kojima’s newest project, Death Stranding, but the auteur’s loyal fans are eagerly awaiting for the game’s arrival. While details about the title’s story and gameplay have been somewhat scant, Kojima has been selectively open about the casting choices he has made for the game.
Many major roles are being played by close friends and former Kojima game actors, including Troy Baker, and now it seems that yet another member of the cast has been revealed. Internet sleuths have discovered that a Metal Gear Solid V actor is joining the Death Stranding cast.

Stefanie Joosten portrayed the skin-breathing sniper Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V, and it appears that she will be portraying a Death Stranding character that was recently revealed. The official Twitter account for Joosten’s representing agency recently responded to a tweet sent by fans that discovered that the facial structure of the hooded character in the latest Death Stranding trailer matched that of Joosten’s. The fans discerned this by matching Joosten’s facial profile to the character model, and by noticing the Dutch flag that appears on the character’s gear.
After spotting these clues, it seems that Joosten’s agency acknowledged their assessment nonverbally, with thumbs up, Dutch flag and smiley face emojis. It certainly makes sense for the character to be Joosten. She was a fan-favorite part of Phantom Pain, and she has frequently been seen on Kojima’s social media accounts. There’s not much known about the character, but Joosten had proven her worth as a performer. The big question now is whether or not this character will dance in the rain too?
