Hitman 2 Special Editions Revealed, Includes Hitman Rubber Duck

Hitman 2 Special Editions

Following short speculation, WB Games recently confirmed the elegant assassinations of Agent 47 are indeed returning for a new game in the form of Hitman 2. Revealed was the sequel’s fresh locations, story campaign, as well as pre-order access to the previously leaked Sniper Assassin mode. While this would be enough for most fans to step aboard the hype train, a number of Hitman 2 special editions have also revealed themselves, with each sporting some pretty sweet goodies.

The Standard Edition of the game clocks in at an expected $59.99, which essentially contains the base game and nothing else. Fans who appreciate the finer things and are willing to spend a bit extra can also go for the Silver Edition, Gold Edition, or Collector’s Edition of Hitman 2, with each going for $79.99, $99.99, and $149.99 respectively.

The Silver Edition brings together the base game and various downloadable content, introducing exclusive in-game items such as an Italian black leather briefcase and the ICA 19 Blackballer pistol. Owners will also have access to the game’s Expansion Pass 1, which will introduce a round of new locations, missions, sniper maps, outfits, and weapons.

The Gold Edition brings even more to the table by offering the same contents of the Silver Edition, on top of adding even more content. In addition to getting a second round of Expansion Pass DLC, people who pre-order will also gain early access to the Sniper Assassin Mode a full four days before everyone else.

Hitman 2 Special Editions

The biggest and most mouth-watering edition of Hitman 2 was saved for last. The GameStop-exclusive Collector’s Edition gives players everything in both the Gold and Silver Editions, but adds several knick-knacks that are sure to interest fans. In addition to sleek steelcase for the game disc, the collection offers a bullet-shaped keyring, an Agent 47-themed coin, and the glorious inclusion of a sharped-dressed rubber duck from the game.

The entire Collector’s Edition package comes neatly arranged in a replica gun case and the whole thing overall looks like it wouldn’t feel out of place in Agent 47’s possession. This edition’s exclusive DLC enables use of the concussive rubber duck and midnight black suit in-game.

Hitman 2 is scheduled to arrive for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 13th. Which edition are you planning to purchase? Are you going all in on the rubber duck Collector’s Edition, or are you good with owning the Standard Edition?
