Injustice 2 Atom Gameplay Trailer Sizes Up The Competition With Science (VIDEO)

Atom Gameplay Sizes Up The Competition (VIDEO)

After Hellboy’s recent debut in Injustice 2, developer NetherRealm Studios has yet another fresh batch of entrants waiting to make their mark on the game’s already expansive roster. As revealed in a recent teaser, the likes of the body-switch witch Enchantress and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be included in the upcoming Fighter Pack 3 DLC, but also the might of the size-manipulating Atom. We’ve previously seen a brief look at what the hero can do, but an all-new Atom gameplay video definitely sizes up the competition.

In an all new trailer, which you can view below, the extent on Atom’s powers is on full display, with the hero taking full advantage of both his shrinking and scientific abilities. Defensive moves seem to be a specialty, with shrink-dodging and a nifty ray gun making for especially useful tools. The Atom gameplay also reveals some other science up his sleeve in the form of projectile vials that perform various elemental punishments. The trailer’s final moments show off the hero’s Super Move, a simple, but super-sized fist into solid ground.

This month will see the release of Atom to the Injustice 2 roster, with fellow DC character Enchantress and the Ninja Turtles presumably dropping in January and February respectively. PC users can rejoice as the game has finally made it to the platform (read our review), finally allowing the “master race” a spot on the ever-chugging hype train. If rumors of even more characters on the horizon are to be believed, it should provide a nice, speculative ride going into 2018.

What do you think? Are you excited to play as Atom in Injustice 2, or are you waiting for those dang Turtles? Who do you think will be in Fighter Pack 4?
