Rumors of Miyazaki once again foregoing his retirement came about last year when he appeared in the Japanese documentary titled Hayao Miyazaki: The Man Who Is Not Done. In it, he revealed his dissatisfaction with Kemushi no Boro or “Boro the Caterpillar”, a 12-minute CGI animation he had been working on at the time. Miyazaki, having developed the story over 20 years, revealed that he’d like to turn the the short into a feature-length film instead. Though it’s strongly believed that Boro the Caterpillar is Miyazaki’s next film, it has not been confirmed by any party as of late. You can check back here on DFTG for more information in the future.
