Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core Remaster Revealed (VIDEO)
While not necessarily a surprise at this point for Square Enix fans given the Japanese publisher’s love for remakes and remasters, Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion has officially been announced as a remaster for Crisis Core, the popular Final Fantasy VII prequel that released on the PSP back in 2007. Fans won’t have very long to wait, either, as the title is slated to release this Winter.
Announced during Square Enix’s recent celebration for the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core Reunion will sport fully enhanced graphics and updated 3D models. The game will also feature full voiceovers and brand new musical arrangements, and is – according to Square Enix – a “more beautiful and accessible Crisis Core.” Check out the reveal trailer below:
The announcement of Crisis Core Reunion is a rather timely one given the recent reveal of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. While Reunion is said to be a simple remaster, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to find that the game contains some sort of alternate ending, one that more closely lines up with the events that have transpired in Final Fantasy VII Remake. Either way, those that have been begging Square Enix to remaster Crisis Core should be pretty pleased with the title when it releases this winter.
Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion is slated to release this winter for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
