A new gameplay trailer was released by NetherRealm Studios for Injustice 2 and it shines the spotlight on Black Canary. The studio also confirmed that Brainiac, Bane, and Poison Ivy will all be playable characters! The game is coming out in a few months and NetherRealm continues to tease us with confirmed characters for us to squeal over. The new gameplay trailer shows Black Canary battling a small handful of characters from the game including the now confirmed Brainiac. As you will see, she uses her classic “Canary Cry” and kicks some major ass, MMA style.

Some people are wondering now if Black Canary will be available to play in the Injustice 2 online multiplayer beta, since she is a brand new character, but only time will tell. In the gameplay trailer we see Black Canary squaring up to Blue Beetle and she maybe gives a little bit of a hint about the game’s story line. Blue Beetle apparently wants to join up with Batman and he has to beat her in order to prove himself ready. Guess we’ll see if that’s just random banter between characters or part of the actual story once the game is released. Here is a list of all Injustice 2 playable characters announced so far:
