Rainbow Six Extraction And Siege Coming To Xbox Game Pass (VIDEO)

Rainbow Six Extraction Siege Event

Laying down a sci-fi horror spin on its usual proceedings, Rainbow Six Extraction is certainly generating interest ahead of its approaching launch, especially as the tactical shooter is also significantly lowering its price for the occasion. However, it seems Ubisoft is keen on getting even more players to fight the alien invasion as Rainbow Six Extraction is now also headed to Xbox Game Pass on day one of release.

Launching on January 20th, Extraction is confirmed to be added across all three versions of Microsoft’s game subscription service: cloud, console, and PC. As a bonus, the series’ previous non-alien-centric release, Rainbow Six Siege, is also set to arrive on the same day. Siege had previously been available for cloud and console variants of Game Pass, but this occasion will finally bring PC players in on the action as well.

This latest Rainbow Six Extraction announcement was made in conjunction with Ubisoft bringing their own subscription service, Ubisoft Plus, to Xbox consoles. Originally launched on PC, members are treated to similar benefits as Game Pass, including a 100+ library of titles, first-party games and DLC on launch day, and a bevy of monthly perks. An Xbox release date wasn’t listed, but more was teased to be revealed on a later date.

”Rainbow Six Extraction for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members is just the beginning,” Ubisoft’s Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development, Chris Early, said in a statement. “Ultimately, we will offer the Ubisoft+ subscription service to Xbox owners so that they can enjoy the full extent of our Ubisoft+ game library, including new releases, on their consoles.”

We’re bringing Ubisoft+ to Xbox!! Expect more news in the future ?

On social media, announcing these two Xbox endeavors side-by-side appears to have caught quite a few fans off guard, with many coming to the conclusion that Ubisoft Plus was being added to Xbox Game Pass. As EA Play is currently available to Game Pass Ultimate members and rumors had suggested such an arrangement in the past, I can see how some might believe it. However, Ubisoft was quick to confirm that this was definitely not the case and Ubisoft Plus would continue to be “a separate subscription from Game Pass.”

Hey! Ubisoft+ will be a separate subscription from Game Pass but keep an eye out for more news and launch dates!
