MLB The Show 21 Stadium Creator Brings The Field Of Dreams To Life (VIDEO)
Major league sport games have been a significant part of the gaming industry for a while now, with one of the tried and true favorite sport game series being Sony Interactive Entertainment’s MLB The Show. After years of delighting PlayStation fans exclusively, the series will be making a big step forward by also releasing the game on Xbox consoles as well. The series has also sought to increase their audience and give more features to improve the game’s value. Such is the case with the newly announced MLB The Show 21 stadium creator feature that will allow users to create custom stadiums.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has unveiled the new MLB The Show 21 stadium creator feature on the official PlayStation YouTube channel. The video, hosted by two comical construction worker puppets named Coach and Fernando, shows the various aspects of the player’s custom stadium that can be adjusted. Foul poles and outfield fences are seen having their positions and sizes changed on the fly. Pre-loaded stadium kits also embody a wide variety of architectural styles, from modern glass and metal elements to more classical aesthetics. Some floating alien ships are even seen outside one stadium.
The MLB The Show 21 stadium creator feature also allows for a variety of locations for the stadium, including a rural farm-based stadium that is likely meant to recreate the baseball field from the hit film Field of Dreams. It has also been confirmed that users will be able to share their custom stadiums online, so that other users can play on the stadiums or even edit them as new versions of the stadium themselves. This is quite a nifty feature and hopefully it brings new players to MLB The Show when the game releases on April 20th this year. Play ball!
