Every year Final Fantasy XIV puts on a special event wherein players can obtain loads and loads of MGP, the currency used at the Gold Saucer. This year’s event seems to be offering similar rewards, with the added benefit of a new quest line and a new emote to obtain sweetening the proverbial pot.

Square Enix took to its official Final Fantasy XIV website to offer some details on the Make It Rain 2020 event. The event itself kicks off on Wednesday, October 21 at 1:00 a.m. (PDT) and runs until Friday, November 20 at 6:59 a.m. (PST). Players can kick off the quest line by speaking to Nanaphon in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald.

As for rewards, players can snag the limited-time ‘Consider’ emote by completing the quest, along with at least one MGP Bronze Card worth 5,000 MGP. Additionally, The Crystal Tower striker, Monster Toss machine, and Cuff-a-Cur machine furnishings will be purchasable at a reduced MGP cost from the Seasonal Shop during the event. Players can also obtain items from previous iterations of the Make it Rain event by speaking with the same vendor.

Ahead of the event, Square Enix issued a statement reminding players that there will be a 50% increase to MGP rewards during the campaign. A reminder was also sent out that one of the best ways to acquire a ton of MGP is to do the Fashion Report mini-game, also available at the Gold Saucer.

Final Fantasy XIV is now available on PC and PlayStation 4. The title will be playable on PS5 via backward compatibility.
