Google Stadia Launch Library Adds Borderlands 3, Elder Scrolls Online And More

Google Stadia Launch

In just a few months, Google will take a big step forward into the gaming sphere with Google Stadia, their new cloud-based video game streaming service. The service has been confirmed to work with a variety of PCs, tablets and mobile devices, but many have been curious as to what software will be available at launch. Well, Google is planning on making sure the service starts out strong, and has now confirmed that the Google Stadia launch lineup will include Borderlands 3, The Elder Scrolls Online and other big titles at launch, among other newly confirmed games.

Earlier today at Gamescom 2019, Google hosted a Stadia Connect presentation that provided new information about the service. With Stadia launching in November, Google took the opportunity to let fans know some big titles that will be available at the service’s launch. Two of the biggest titles confirmed were Borderlands 3 and The Elder Scrolls Online. Among the other new titles confirmed for launch during the presentation were: Darksiders Genesis, Mortal Kombat 11, Farming Simulator 19, Destroy All Humans 3, Samurai Shodown, Grid, Super Hot, Doom Eternal, Attack on Titan 2, Kine and Windjammers 2.

To ensure subscribers that new games will continue to be added to the service in future years, Google also confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 and Watch Dogs Legion will both be available for subscribers at their respective release dates in 2020. This is quite a significant number of games for the service’s launch and first year. While the service’s infrastructure is still a few months away, it does seem ready to hit the ground running and prove its merit. All that’s left now is to wait and see if during gameplay the streaming holds Stadia. Er, steady, rather.
