16 Mystery Nintendo Switch Game SKUs Suddenly Appear In GameStop Systems

Mystery Nintendo Switch

E3 is only one month away, and many gamers are eager to hear new game announcements during the event. Given the very successful first year the console has had, Nintendo Switch owners are excited for the upcoming E3 2018 Nintendo Direct, where new games for the hybrid console are expected to be announced. Gamers already know about the new Smash Bros. game coming this year, but many are wondering what the new Switch games in 2018 might be and how many are coming. Now, GameStop may have revealed just how many more big games Switch owners can look forward to, with 16 mystery Nintendo Switch game SKUs suddenly appearing in their system.

Several sources today with access to GameStop’s internal retail systems, such as u/Teugenehint on Reddit, have shared their new findings. GameStop’s list of upcoming Nintendo Switch software titles assigns a specific SKU number to each unique title. The shared results of the list now include 16 mystery SKUs, with each assigned a price of $59.99 and a release date of 12/31/18. None of these SKUs reveal the name of the specific game they are for, so many, if not all of these are likely placeholders for Switch games that will be announced during the upcoming Nintendo Direct during E3.

The list already has a specific SKU for confirmed games, such as the new Smash Bros., so some theories believe the mystery titles might include Metroid Prime 4 or Bayonetta 3, should these titles be confirmed for a 2018 release. Still, some of these games would have to be unannounced games unforeseen by gamers. Hopefully, more will be made known at the Nintendo Direct next month. If only we had an Ocarina of Time to speed up the wait until then. What do you guys think about these mystery Nintendo Switch game SKUs? Let us know in the comments below!
