Legend Of Zelda Breath Of the Wild Director Looks To Future Projects
Champions Ballad, the latest DLC for Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, has Zelda fans doing a standing ovation. While the cheers are still going on over the superb content, many wonder what’s next from the team? Hidemura Fujibayashi, the game’s director, satisfied curiosity and discussed his many ideas for Breath of the Wild and what future titles might appear too.
In a sit-down interview with IGN, Fujibayashi-san revealed that he has “lots of ideas” for the future when asked about whether or not there would be a new Legend of Zelda sequel. Though he said that the creative juices were indeed flowing, that doesn’t necessarily mean the continuation of Breath of the Wild – though that is certainly on the table, as well.
I can’t say at this point if it will be in sequels or in continuations, or what form it will take, but I definitely have lots of ideas and lots of motivation right now.”
Long time fans adore exploring more than ever before the open world in Breath of the Wild. Fujibayashi-san took notice, citing the feedback from both colleagues and fans as essential to his creative process and direction. Something as small and simple as finding players’ desire to pet the dogs they encounter in game became a huge motivator.
Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is a stunning example of the vision, teamwork, and creative process. While the interview answered many questions and furthered our insatiable curiousity about the future, it is very clear whatever the team has in store, fans can’t wait for it!
