Xbox Boss Phil Spencer Is Committed To Tailoring Windows 10 For PC Gaming (VIDEO)

Xbox Boss Phil Spencer

While the debate between console and PC gaming will seemingly never change, Microsoft is doing their best to bridge that gap. The company has two platforms to worry about when games release, and Xbox boss Phil Spencer says more needs to be done on the Windows side of things.

Microsoft has Play Anywhere titles, and they are attempting release all first party games on both Xbox and PC, but the company’s store itself is a little lacking. Most PC gamers likely go the route of Steam, Humble Bundle, etc. to get their fix, but Spencer is committed to making sure the Microsoft store is a viable option when looking to purchase games. Here’s what Spencer said (around the 51-minute mark):

“I think we’ve got a ton of work to do on Windows,” Spencer recently said at the X018 event in Mexico City. “Windows is something I’m really committed to. I’ve heard the feedback about our store. I’m going to take a bigger leadership role on what’s going on with the Windows Store- make it really tailored towards the gamers that we know want to see the best from what we have to offer. And it’s going to be a fun journey.”

With the recent acquisition of Obsidian Entertainment and inXile Entertainment, it would definitely appear that Microsoft is gearing up to make some significant changes in their non-Xbox gaming department. That would be because both of these studios are quite familiar with creating PC titles. Needless to say, big changes are likely inbound for Windows 10 and the Microsoft store.
