Xbox Game Pass Adding 5 Titles – Including Myst Remake, Psychonauts 2
As the last batch of announced titles has joined the service, Microsoft has now revealed the next titles coming to Xbox Game Pass members across PC, Console, and Cloud. A total of five new games are set to grace Microsoft platforms in the next few weeks, and while it’s not as many as last time, the occasion more than makes up for it with anticipated highlights like the quirky awaited platformer Psychonauts 2, and the console release of last year’s Myst remake.
As revealed in a recent Xbox Wire post, atmospheric platformer Recompile, locomotive sequel Train Sim World 2, and star-studded narrative adventure Twelve Minutes are each coming to the service on August 19th for PC, Console, and Cloud. Double Fine’s previously-announced Psychonauts 2 follows on August 25th, while last year’s VR-adjacent Myst remake makes its non-VR debut for PC, Console, and Cloud on August 26th.
Releasing at the tail end of last year, developer Cyan released an HD remake based on the 90s-era adventure game Myst. Though the title was originally reserved for Oculus VR hardware, the title is now also coming to 2D platforms and, namely, Xbox Game Pass. Rebuilt for the Unreal Engine, the title boasts a nostalgic mystery across Myst Island as well as modern features like “new art, new sound, re-imagined interactions, and even optional puzzle randomization.” A look at the Myst remake can be viewed in the trailer below.
In addition to all the selections coming to the various versions of Game Pass, several titles are also making their departure in the next few weeks. (Hey, I don’t make the rules!) If there’s any silver lining to the situation, only four games are set to leave on August 31st, including the movie-esque survival horror Blair Witch, heavy metal rhythm title Double Kick Heroes, annual basketballer NBA 2K21, and Netflix-inspired adventure Stranger Things 3: The Game.
The latest new and departing titles can be viewed below. A full look at the Console and PC versions of Game Pass can be viewed in our respective lists.

With the coming close of August, Xbox Game Pass becomes ever beefier as Microsoft makes good on its acquisition of Double Fine Productions with the addition of Psychonauts 2. The surprise presence of Myst remake is sure to be an exciting get as well, especially as the title looks to be sitting out on PlayStation, at least for now. While Sony will be lacking what Game Pass has for the time being, it looks like we can at least expect to see the subscription on Valve’s Steam Deck device when it arrives later this year.
