The Witcher 3 Game Director Confirms Work on Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 Witcher 3

This might be the year that we finally learn all of the glorious details about Cyberpunk 2077 that we could possibly dream of. We already know that CD Projekt RED will be bringing the game to this year’s E3 in June, where we can only hope that we’ll learn the release date. That said, we now know that The Witcher 3 game director is currently working on the highly-anticipated project.

Spotted by a Reddit user, The Witcher 3 director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz recently updated his Linkedin profile to reveal that he is now the design director on Cyberpunk 2077. Additionally, it looks like has also been given a promotion, as he is now the vice president of game development for CD Projekt RED.

Tomaszkiewicz is best known for directing The Witcher 3 and its expansion packs. Before that, he also worked on the first two installments in The Witcher franchise and has been with the company since 2004.

With his new role on the Cyberpunk 2077 team, one might wonder how far along development is in Night City. Seeing as the game is playable from start to finish, we imagine the addition of Tomaszkiewicz as the design director means they are looking to ensure the experience looks good as well as plays flawlessly.

Seeing as we’ll likely be waiting until E3 to learn any major details, provided no leaks happen, we’ll just have to keep watching the beautiful gameplay demo on repeat.
