Trunks Confirmed as Playable Character in Dragon Ball FighterZ – See Him in Action Here! (VIDEO)
A recent announcement from EVO 2017 has confirmed a new character will be added to the roster of Arc System Work’s latest title, Dragon Ball FighterZ. During this year’s fighting competition, producer Tomoko Hiroki announced the character on stage with a trailer revealing that Trunks, a fan-favorite character, will be included in the fighting game. Last month, the announcement for Dragon Ball FighterZ made waves with its reveal at E3. With that announcement, a rumor emerged that Trunks would be included in the roster of characters. With the trailer reveal at EVO 2017, not only is Trunks confirmed for the game, he will also be involved in the closed beta for the title. Those who are interested in trying out the game prior to release have a chance to register for the closed beta, which will begin sign-ups on July 26th and will be available for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players.
With the confirmation for Trunks’ involvement in the game, fans of the Dragon Ball franchise certainly have a chance to experience the story of Dragon Ball from a different perspective. Created entirely in the 2D animation style, Dragon Ball FighterZ definitely lets players get the feel of being in an episode from the long running show. Dragon Ball FighterZ is due for release in 2018 for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
