If you’re a fan of the Total War franchise, then you’ve been treated to quite a few stellar updates and expansions to the game’s core. Between the Bretonnia, a new race, being added, the new locations to discover – the team behind the Total War series has been hard at work to keep content fresh for its players. But that’s not the only thing they’ve been working on. According to the developers over at The Creative War Assembly, the sequel – Total War: Warhammer 2, has “been underway for some time already.”

According to Rob Bartholomew, the brand director, the franchise as a whole is the perfect place to continue to build on to the collaboration of Total War/Warhammer’s success. The reception of the first blended game style in Total War: Warhammer was wildly positive, so it only makes sense that the team would want to further that beyond DLC expansions and tweaks here or there.

Production on the sequel to Total War: Warhammer has been underway for some time already and is now a key focus for the studio. It’s time to travel to new lands and discover new races.”
