The Last Of Us Part II Nearly Complete, According To Dev
Word has been relatively scarce in regards to the highly anticipated follow-up to Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us. Fans have been treated to a couple of good looks at the title over the past couple of years, but only recently have the devs begun to talk a bit more about the game. That said, according to The Last of Us Part II co-director Anthony Newman, it’s looking like they might be in the home stretch of development.
Taking to Twitter, Newman highlighted the positions Naughty Dog is currently looking to fill “to help us close out this game.” Of course, this is certainly good news for those waiting for The Last of Us Part II as it just might mean that the launch of the game isn’t entirely too far away. Unfortunately, the co-director did not include any other information regarding the release of the title.
Lot of awesome positions open to help us close out this game… I especially want to highlight the Melee Animator position, I guarantee you will be working on some *dope* animations working with my good friend @Leethul ?️? pic.twitter.com/vmlVkJlfTl

A recent leak mentioned that an update on The Last of Us Part II might be arriving before E3, which is set to take place in less than a month. As you may know by now, Sony will not be present at this year’s event, so we likely won’t be getting any new trailers on any PlayStation 4 exclusives, unless it is during one of their State of Play livestreams or at another event later this year. Either way, things are looking up for fans, and we can only hope this means the game will be arriving within the next year.
The Last of Us Part II is currently in development for PlayStation 4. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
