Tchia Announced With Gorgeous Trailer (VIDEO)

Tchia Announcement Trailer

The developers at Awaceb released Fossil Echo back in 2016, offering players a challenging story-driven platforming experience in a beautiful world. That said, it looks like the devs have been cooking up something special as they have officially announced Tchia, a stunning open-world tropical adventure.

During the recent Game Awards ceremony, a trailer for Tchia was revealed, offering fans a look at a gorgeous title that will allow players to explore a tropical setting, take control of animals and objects, and play a ukulele. You can check out all of this in action in the game’s announcement trailer below:

According to the developers, Tchia is inspired by New Caledonia, a small island in the Pacific Ocean, which also happens to be where the co-founders of Awaceb are from. The game features over 30 animals and hundreds of objects that players will be able to take control of. Those setting out on adventure can do so by running, climbing, gliding, and sailing their way through various biomes and weather. Plus, you’ll get to play a ukulele along the way.

The cast of characters found in Tchia are inspired by New Caledonian culture, with the game featuring voiced and animated cutscenes. They will be “voiced by local talent in traditional languages, and subtitled in many languages including English, French, Russian, Chinese, German, Spanish, and more,” according to the game’s website.

Tchia is currently in development for Stadia and Steam, but the release date is not known at this time. There is also no word on if it will be coming to consoles at all.
