Fans of the long running animated series will have something to get excited about this year as Steven Universe Save the Light emerges for consoles. The 2D RPG, a sequel to the mobile game Attack the Light will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 according to Cartoon Network. Fans got a closer look at Steven Universe Save the Light and the characters that will be joining the fray as little 2-D characters battle it out against various enemies in turn-based fighting action! Steven and the Crystal Gems will be returning with Connie to fight the latest villain in the game. This new villain is holding an ancient Gem weapon called The Prism and has a new game exclusive character named Squaridot to aid in their mysterious plot.

The turn-based fighting of Steven Universe Save the Light is similar to that of Paper Mario. Players choose their attacks and must time the button pressing in order to increase damage and defend from incoming attacks. There are also fusions available that bring in Opal, Sardonyx, and Stevonnie to the game making the sequel more interesting and fun.

Steven Universe Save the Light will be available sometime this summer for fans to enjoy. The game will be available only as a digital download and only on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned to DFTG for more on Steven Universe and San Diego Comic-Con as it unfolds this weekend!
