State Of Decay 2 DLC Brings Fireworks, “Revolutionary” Zombies, And More (VIDEO)

In the first DLC since State of Decay 2’s launch, Undead Labs goes all out to bring patriotic festivities to make zombie surviving more festive. Declare the historical day of United States independence with the simply titled “Independence Pack,” which features all sorts of goodies. There are new weapons, vehicles, outfits, and much more. Check out the trailer that showcases it all:

Not only does the team behind State of Decay 2 celebrate over 3 million players joining the zombie-killing spree with this DLC pack, but it’s just the right time of the year to bring on the fireworks. What better way to show the American spirit than with vehicles with over-the-top paint jobs and pyrotechnic flares? The Independence Pack includes three new rides dubbed the Pyrohawk, Burinator, and the Meatwagon. In addition, there are three melee weapons, two ranged weapons, and single-use fireworks. For more on all the items included, see below:

State of Decay 2 “Independence Pack” DLC

  • Take the Pyrohawk, Burninator or Meatwagon out for a spin. With names like these, you know driving will be more entertaining.
  • Step up to your station at the BBQ with The Freedom Ringer, Grillmeister and BBQ Fork – new hand-held zed-slaying solutions.
  • Subtlety not your thing? Well we have the Pyro Launcher and Starshank Launcher so you can blast zombies with fiery explosives.
  • Just like loud noises with pretty colors? You’re in luck! The Block Rocker, Reign o’ Fire, Bouncing Boris and XL Firework Shell offer even more options to turn a mission into a celebration.

All of those goodies are bundled together at $4.99 (USD). Not a bad price for a DLC, right? This should tide all the zombie-slayers out there until September when Undead Labs releases their Daybreak Pack that features a game mode, objectives, rewards, and an assortment of new content. It’s pretty clear the developers are in it for the long haul.

State of Decay 2 is available now exclusively on Xbox One and PC. Will you be celebrating the United States’ independence with this content package? Those pyrotechnic displays are superb!
