Stardew Valley Publisher Chucklefish Reveals New Game, Inmost (VIDEO)

Stardew Valley Publisher Chuckfish Inmost

Stardew Valley publisher Chucklefish, having already consumed all of our free time with the aforementioned farming simulator, has now announced an all-new game. While staying in line with a wonderfully pixelated visual style, developer Hidden Layer Games looks to have a much different experience in mind with their upcoming title Inmost.

Darkness awaits players who tread the world of Inmost, as they trek through an ancient castle cursed by the presence of a terrifying evil. This ghoulish aesthetic is well-established by the oodles of entities that attempt to devour our knightly hero whole. While platforming and completing puzzles, Inmost sets the player on a journey to stealthily explore every pixel of the setting as part of a mysterious interconnected story. Check out the official trailer and description below.

Inmost is an atmospheric, story-driven puzzle platformer, following three playable characters within one dark, interconnecting story. In an old abandoned castle, you’ll need to explore every nook and cranny, avoid detection, slice your way through enemies and spring deadly traps in order to escape the evil that lurks within…”

Based on this announcement, there looks like plenty to be excited about with Inmost, as the game sports some incredibly realized design in addition to some interesting old-school gameplay. However, with no set platforms and the vague release date of 2019, it may be awhile before we get a chance to check out Inmost for ourselves. Oh, the horror!
