Sony E3 2018 Plans Revealed, Focused On Exclusives Like Death Stranding
E3 2018 is just one more month away, and more of the details regarding events that will occur at this year’s expo are being made known. Nintendo has released the full schedule of all of the major events that they will host during E3 week, and the Bethesda presentation this year could be their longest one to date. But what about Sony, the biggest platform in console gaming right now? Well, now we know more about their big plans for E3, as more details about the Sony E3 2018 plans have been revealed, and it looks like this year may be a slight break from tradition.
Sony provided a new update today on their official PlayStation Blog that revealed the Sony E3 2018 plans. As usual, Sony will be making their big presentation on the Monday of E3 week at 6 p.m. Pacific time, but this time the structure of the presentation will be a bit different. Most of Sony’s past E3 keynotes have presented a wide variety of both first and third party games, but this time they will focus particularly on the big PS4 exclusives coming within the next year. The bulk of this year’s presentation will consist of deep dives into Death Stranding from Kojima Productions, Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch, Marvel’s Spider-Man from Insomniac Games, and The Last of Us Part II from Naughty Dog.
Sony has promised that there still will be announcements from third party and indie developers regarding games coming to the PS4, PS4 Pro, and PS VR. It has also been confirmed that no new hardware announcements will be made during the event. While some may miss the rapid presentation of a diverse set of games at the Sony presentation, those eagerly awaiting the four big exclusives being shown in depth during the presentation will likely be ecstatic. And who can be upset at the possibility of seeing more naked Norman Reedus in Death Stranding? What do you guys think about the Sony E3 2018 plans? Let us know in the comments below!
