Silent Hill Composer Seemingly Teases New Game
Rumors have been floating around the Internet in recent years that point to something happening with the Silent Hill series, especially after the messy break-up between Konami and Hideo Kojima. That said, the composer of the series recently teased an announcement that is likely to arrive this summer, and it could be the one we’ve all been waiting for.
At least, that’s what Akira Yamaoka said during a recent interview with YouTube channel Al Hub. While discussing Yamaoka’s work on The Medium’s soundtrack, another project was also brought up that is apparently going to be announced this summer. “I think it’s the one you’re hoping to hear about,” Yamaoka said. Of course, this sparked the interest of many Silent Hill fans as we were all pretty sure that this meant a new entry in the series was going to be announced.
That being said, the interview has since been taken down, per the request of somebody Al Hub did not name. “We thank you for your support which contributed to the spread of the interview that we published yesterday with Akira Yamaoka around the world,” reads a tweet from Al Hub. “We were asked to remove the clip, and it has been removed. We apologize and stay tuned for the next interviews.”

Of course, while Al Hub did not specify who requested that the interview be taken down, many fans are theorizing and assuming that it was Konami who asked. Either way, the removal of the interview only fuels the fire that is the speculation surrounding the Silent Hill universe. We just might be getting that big announcement many have been waiting for this summer, but until then, keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
