Rumor: Horizon Zero Dawn PC Version Leaked (VIDEO)
Very few games have been able to match an experience like Horizon Zero Dawn, the game featuring an immense open world filled with plentiful quests and peppered with an extremely worthwhile story. However, there are many that have yet to take aim at the title as it currently remains exclusive to the PlayStation 4. While little has appeared to challenge that fact as of late, a new rumor suggests a PC version may very well be on the way.
According to a supposed leak revealed by Russian YouTuber Anton Logvinov (via Prima Games), Aloy’s adventure in the unforgiving wilds could be headed to PC in February 2020. Citing “inside sources” close to the project, Logvinov recalls having several conversations with developers, including topics touching on the next console generation. In short, it’s alleged that Sony is much more open these days about PS4 exclusives porting to PC, with Horizon Zero Dawn being one of the first PlayStation properties to do so. The video discussing the leak can be viewed below.
As everything about this rumored leak is very much unconfirmed, it’s best to take this news with a heaping mound of salt. However, there are a few things to consider before outright dismissing these claims. Death Stranding notably made the jump to PC in back in October and while the Kojima-developed title isn’t a PlayStation property, it does at least highlight Sony’s willingness to release PS4-exclusives alongside PC. It’s also worth considering Sony’s relaxed stance regarding competition as of late, having struck a momentous arrangement with Microsoft and professed a willingness to go multi-platform in last year alone.
Horizon Zero Dawn is out now for PlayStation 4.
