Avalanche Studios and id Software’s next big post-apocalyptic shooter is just hours away from launch, which means fans are gearing up to shoot everything in sight and blow it all up. One of the many weapons featured in Rage 2 is the BFG 9000 from DOOM, but it is exclusive to those who have either the Deluxe Edition or Collector’s Edition of the game. That said, it won’t be available from the start, but thanks to the folks over at Prima Games, we now have a handy guide showing how you can obtain the devastating gun.

Before you jump into the action, you’ll want to head to the in-game store from the Main Menu. Here, you will be tasked with either linking your existing Bethesda account or creating a new one, after which the BFG will be available in Rage 2. Unfortunately, things aren’t that simple as you will still need to make it through a bit of action before laying hands on classic DOOM weapon.

Complete the opening mission and put on that Ranger suit. Doing so will allow you to leave Vineland, and once you have departed the area, go past the wrecked buildings along the road until you see a meteor fall from the sky.
